Jay's Krispy Fried Chicken

First time here, recommended by a coworker. Old school feel when you walk in, old school letterbox menu service was very quick and friendly. I got the chicken sandwich and fried okra which is very basic, and they were both 10/10. Both were great!! Feels home cooked in a way. If you're on the fence just do it, this place kicks any fast food chicken joint out of the water easily. Coworkers got 3 piece meals and every piece they got was huge! I ended up spending $11.53 for my sandwich, okra, and drink.

Spectacular little chicken joint. Hands down the best fried gizzard I've ever had. Barely any bite to them as opposed to the crispy fried bubblegum you get most places. The steak biscuit and 3 piece were great as well! Had the Mac and cheese, broccoli and cheese, and turnip greens and all were above average. Staff is friendly and the place isn't super modern but very clean. The prices are almost jaw-dropping in this day and age. Dad and I had lunch for under $20, as opposed to almost $20 each like normal. If you're in Sikeston and in the mood for chicken this place beats out the best of them. 11/10 MUST TRY

I travel alot for work and first learned of Jay's 4 years ago while working in the area. I've since actually gone out of way when traveling just to get the chicken livers and gizzards. I prefer not to have alot of spices in my breading and Jay's did not disappoint. Hope to see you soon!

Oh Jays chicken, where do I begin? You are beyond perfect. The chicken is always tender and fresh like my love for this establishment. This restaurant is less of a restaurant and more of a staple of perfection. Eating this chicken will make you believe you have died and gone to heaven, and the sauce makes you believe you have long since became the god we are all searching for. Nothing will come close to my love and appreciation to not only the staff but Jay himself. Change your life and eat at Jays Chicken. This is not an ad, it is truly that good.

I’d come back all the way from North Carolina to have this again. The coleslaw is on another level. For an impressive flavor contrast take a big lump of coleslaw, put it on the fried chicken, and take a bite. Gizzards were perfectly tender and the best I've had from a place. Usually I don't like them that much but these were great.

Food is beyond great but thay is due to the secrets. The drive through is a guessing game. You can not hear them very well and they lack any good customer service skills. If they would tear that building down and put a new bigger one up you probably couldn't run people off. Even though you have to guess what you ordered is correct I still recommend the drive through.

Authentic Fried Chicken spot. Small dining area. Congested order area. Happy staff and clean restaurant. Open for breakfast which was odd but fried chicken tenders paired with French toast may be my new go-to now. What I wanted was Chicken and Waffles, what I didn't know was what I needed was Chicken and French Toast. Will definitely be back.
